I, too, had a problem with the recognition of a drive after my system went
down and I had to reinstall the OS. It seems that HDToolbox in 3.5 is buggy
and won't recognise uninitialised or unformatted drives.

My solution: boot with my original OS3.0 floppy and use HDToolbox 3.0 found
on that. It recognises the drive and you can install the BootBlock etc.
Then you can go back to OS3.5 and use use it's toolbox to continue.

Frustrating, huh?
